Penang, known in the past as Pearl of the Orient. But for the past 10 years it has been known it has pretty congested traffic during peak hours of work. Luckily, the saving grace is, Penang still has some of its natural environment intact.
To escape from the bustling and busy activity of Penang. One can always travel to the west side of the Penang Island. Monkey Beach is one of the easily accessible location. One could charter a boat from jetty. Boat charter is about MYR40 per boat. From the Teluk Bahang Jetty to Monkey Beach, it is about 6 minutes of commute using boat.
The estimated trekking is 1 hour 15 minutes. Unfortunately, for a person who does not do exercise, I managed to complete journey from the jetty to monkey beach in 2 hours. Trekkers does not need to worry for most part of the trek are well paved and some part of the treks provides trekkers with good view of the surrounding.
2 hours later…
Not forgetting…
Nice Scenery. I have not been there before. Maybe one day I will be there
